Sarah McNees is a Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, college aged, and families. Sarah recognizes that as people we have many different emotions and experiences that drive us. Sometimes we do not understand what we are feeling, why we are feeling it, and why we are responding the way that we are. Sarah is passionate about helping her clients create a better understanding of themselves so that they can enjoy their life to the fullest. Sarah utilizes: Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. For the purpose of teaching emotional intelligence, identifying and utilizing positive coping techniques, understanding and responding to the brain, and developing an overall self-awareness. Sarah also can incorporate biblical counseling for those that are interested. Chip is CGC certified, and currently is a Therapy Dog in Training. Chip is learning to provide Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) in sessions to help clients achieve specific goals. When not needed for specific goals, Chip's presence alone provides emotional support to clients. Chip works alongside his handler, Sarah McNees, LPC. Chip is a sweet, friendly, goofy and loving dog.
