Abigail “Abby” Coffing, LLC, is a Limited License Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, families, young adults, and couples. Abby approaches therapy with warmth, authenticity, humor, and deep curiosity, creating a space where clients feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions while also feeling genuinely supported and understood. Abby has experience helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, attachment wounds, emotional dysregulation, life transitions, parenting stress, and relationship challenges. She especially enjoys supporting children and teens as they build emotional awareness, coping skills, confidence, and stronger communication within their families. Her approach is collaborative, relational, and eclectic, grounded in attachment theory, humanistic principles, and strengths-based care. Abby integrates interventions from Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method (Level 2 trained), CBT, and insight-oriented therapy to tailor treatment to each client and family’s unique needs. Abby values the healing power of relationships and believes therapy works best when clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to show up as their full selves. Whether working with a child processing big emotions, a parent feeling overwhelmed, or a couple struggling to reconnect, Abby strives to create a therapeutic environment that feels both emotionally meaningful and practical. Throughout her work, Abby receives ongoing supervision and consultation from Tracy Thompson, LPC, to continue deepening her clinical skills and provide thoughtful, ethical care to the clients she serves.
